What to see a picture of my foot… So I think it has stayed pretty clean. When we went to the offices right after the surgery, I looked like a fool. I could not walk with crutches. President and his wife got a good kick out of me until I really almost fell down the stairs, then they started to get worried. BUT, all is super well. We traveled to the temple today so it is really swollen right now.  I don't think the surgeon should jump into plastic surgery anytime soon!!!  A bit scraggly with her stitches!!

and wife, they really love her!

President called me two nights ago, and told us we will be having emergency changes, and that a missionary that has been struggling quite a bit is going to be paired up with us for the rest of the transfer. I guess she has just had a really rough go with the mission, and that President felt like she needed to be with me but since I am not leaving to teach, he is going to put us in a threesome. 

I am excited/ but don't want to be in a trio...:) Hah I am sure it will be fine. It is totally an 'accepting the will of The Lord' situation. I don't want to stay in, but I am going to be staying in this week, so I think that there are a lot of great opportunities to help and forget myself. Umm and her name is Hna Laurias. She is from my generation, but I have a transfer more than her for the MTC. And it was cool what President said, that he had a really distinct impression to have me be paired up with her when I was staying at his house, which was really cool. Also Hermana Titensor said the same today in the temple. 

 

I know it will be a good time to reflect for sure. I have been trying so hard to be positive about everything and I really loved being in the temple today. The most important thing that we have in this life are temple covenants. They are so huge, and should consume a good part of our thought in all our actions. It was really cool today.

Still here family! Just got out of the hospital.:)

Hi mom and dad, we just got to the house of the President, and this is where I will be for the next couple of days to make sure everything is healing up well.

We went into the hospital at 10, and had the appointment at 11. No worries, we made sure to get there early, and waited for the President's wife to go up to the docs waiting room.

The doctor took me in and cleaned up really well..(I think that I had a little bit of Conejos dust in there..:)) and then she injected it with a little bit of local anesthia. After that, she used a dermatology punch to take try and get a good portion of it out. The punch looked like a green pen with a mini cookie cutter on the end. It hurt a little bit at first and so I asked her to put a little more nummy juice and she did. After that it was just a little pressure and she then took the big tweezers things (the same ones that dad uses to pick out his ingrown toenails) to get the rest out. She put it in formaldehyde which smelled bad and then stitched it all back up! All in all, it took about an hour to do everything. 

President brought some crutches and they were all waiting for me when I came out. I felt like I was with you guys and felt a little like crying because I was super grateful that they were there. They really are just great people. I love them. So, I will be here, eating the yummy food of Hermana Titensor until Saturday I believe. 

I have my next appointment to take the stitches out next Saturday. Right now, It still doesn't hurt but we are starting on a couple meds. I actually just have one that is called Keflex and a cream to put on it called Fucidin, and also Ibuprofen. I feel good really appreciate all your love and support for me during this time. I know that The Lord puts the little stumbling blocks in our way, and as I am sitting at the presidents computre there is a little quote that says "Temporary setbacks are overshadowed by persistance." I have no worries and am happy to have everything fixed up!! 

I love you so much cute fam, and also I just thought that I should tell you that my next p day will be next Tuesday, because we are going to be going to the Temple that morning!!

Hello cute family and friends!!

Hello cute family and friends, 

First, I cannot even begin to express the gratitute that I feel to have support in my life. I know that I am really ungrateful and more than that, not too worthy to have great people like you in my life. 

I have been doing so well. But so so well at the same time. I love the mission, and love being a tool in the hands of the Lord. I am grateful to bring a new light and message into the lives of many. Over the past couple of weeks, I have learned a lot about hope. Hope is really just a really strong conviction, or trust that our Heaveny Father will hold true to what he has promised us. 

Hope is to work hard during this life that He lets us have and to trust that we will one day inherit the Kingdom of Him. As I have been pondering a lot about hope, a cool scripture from Ether 12 came to mind, that Hope is the real anchor to our souls. I know and have come to learn that that is true. I know that when we hope, we take that first step into the dark, with the surity that God will guide us from there. 

Right now, we are teaching a cool lady named Marina, she is Evangelica (I dont remebmer what that is called in English) but has been progressing a lot in these short weeks. She straight up told us that she knows that the peace that she feels when she reads the Book of Mormon comes from God, and that she is more hopeful, in spite of many trials that she has faced right now in her life. 

I really know that the gospel gives us hope in our lives. I love the scripture that is found in 2Cor 12:10 where Paul writes:

 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Is that not incredible?  Trials may be serious, but that is when we rely on the Lord, and He will make me and you, strong!

The restoration of the true Gospel of Christ is on the earth once more, and we are so blessed to be a part of this magnificent Church. 

I love you all, and I hope in some way or another, you all may have more hope this week!!

Zone conference, a wedding and I tripped....again.

Hey everyone. I had a great week this week, how about you guys?? I am excited to catch up, cause we had some great things happen this week! 

This week, we had our zone conference, exchanges with the lady Brady, and Cinthia, our investgador, got married!

We had such a fun time. We  bought potato chips that are flavored habenero pepper and had a competicion eating them. I have a video of it, but its too long to send. I lost. 

Things have been going really well with her, it has been such a great learning experience for me! The companion is going fine, she writes mean things about me to her family, which I sometimes see her doing when we are writing home, but hey, what can you do? Transfers are in TWO WEEEEKKKKSS!! I am excited, I hope I get transfered.

Well, something funny is I fell, again. We were running to the house to get home at 9, and there  was a hose that I forgot about that our owners put to water their grass, and because it was dark, I took a little spill, which included my skirt flying up to my head. So that was good. Also, we have killed like 4 cockroaches this week. They scare me really bad. :) 

We bought a cake with the temple on it for our investigator that got married, and it was so great. I am so happy for them. Cinthia is going to get baptized in two weeks! 

IT is really hot. When we went on exchanges, i got burned bad. If you look at the pics that i send, i bunrnt only the side that isnt covered by my bag when we walk!!

We have been working really hard, and I really have learned a lot here. I need so much more patience and to just be more accepting, but I love the work so much. 

The Church is amazing, even though there are many distinct problems here, there are many blessings that we see here every day!
