I'm happiest when I'm teaching!

Dear dear friends and family!!

I was humbled as I opened my e-mail to today and had so many of you that took time to reach out to me.  It means so much, more than you will ever know.  The adjustment continues to be hard, but guess what?

We have four new investigators and they all came to church yesterday!!

It´s amazing! One is a family, with a mom, daughter, and son. The son just barely got baptized, so that was with the elders, but we began teaching the family along with one of the son's friends, and they all came to church on Sunday! The other is a mom that is 23 and has 3 children. Her name is Brenda, and she was a reference from a less active member actually!!  So its great because the less active member is coming to church with our new investigator, and all is really great there!!!

Also, on Saturday night when we were walking back to our house, we contacted this awesome family, and have an appt. with them on Wednesday, and I really think that they are prepared by the Lord. Even though we talked with them for like 10 minutes, it was awesome, and totally led by the spirit. They said that they were looking for something to bring their family closer together. (and they have like four young children) It was really great!! So I am crossing my fingers for them.:)

Cuautitlán where Madison is living.
My companion is the most humble person I have ever met. I love her so much!!  She is teaching me so much and it underscores how blessed I’ve been in my life. Thank you to all of you that have brought so many blessing!

P days are total self indulgent days, and its when I get time to think. It really stresses me out sometimes the amount of time that I will be doing this. But that is only when I am not teaching or serving. Its really different. But, one scripture that I love from this week’s study is is D&C 38:7-

But behold, verily, verily, I say unto you that mine eyes are upon you. I am in your midst and ye cannot see me;

Cross reference it with Acts 17:29-

Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

 These two scriptures have brought me so much comfort here!! I have had a crazy increase of faith here in the mission felid, and know that it is because I have Christ not far from me at all times!!!

Spanish continues to be really hard. I don’t really understand a lot of things still, but I really try my best every day. I try really hard every day to understand, and it is super frustrating when I can’t really express the way I feel.   Its hard because I really know principles of the gospel, and love them, but its hard when I have to break it down so so simply because I cant express it very well!  I pray it will come.

I thank you all for your continued support!

Hasta la proximo semana!

  1. Dearest Granddaughter, ( Sister Beardall) It sounds like you are truly getting stretched in your service. I imagine the language barrier is difficult and I know you will one day just wake up and get it perfect if you keep working. We asked your great grandmother Nunns to come and give you a little help with your Spanish.Check out 2 Kings 6:16 and surrounding verses, to know you are not alone there. I also liked D & C 11:12-14. So exciting to hear that you have investigators, not all missionaries everywhere have that much success on their first couple of weeks out of the MTC. Keep working hard and the Lord will continue to bless you and enlighten you mind. So very proud of all your efforts, love you tons and tons, Grandma and Grandpa Wolsey
